Webcomic collectives, groups, whatever have been spawning quickly recently. We’ve spoken to several members about their various reasons for forming and goals they have set out for themselves. DJ Coffman to Webcomic Community, “So You Want to Make Money with your Webcomics?”

The sometimes controversial, but always prolific, webcomic workhorse and cartoonist behind Yirmumah, DJ Coffman, has started a new site dedicated to helping other cartoonists find a business model for their comic creations. Wikipedia Webcomic Witchhunt?

I received an email today with some rather odd news. Apparently someone who moderates or edits or whatever on wikipedia has been cleaning house, deleting several webcomic entries and voting for others to be removed as well. Here’s part of the message that was sent to us:

Asylumantics Turns Four This Month

Chris Cantrell is the cartoonist behind Haunted Pixel Studios where he puts out the excellent web comics Please Rewind and The Asylumantics. This month Asylumantics celebrates it’s fourth anniversary of online updates.

Eric Burns Reveals All, More About Websnark Then You Probably Wanted to Know

Today’s Digital Strips comic refers to the prolific writer and webcomic commentator Eric Burns. He’s best known for his cartoon critique blog Websnark, but he has his hands in many a webcomic pot. He writes the very cool comic Gossamer Commons, he writes for the Webcomics Examiner, and he has a recurring column on Comixpedia entitled ‘Feeding Snarky‘. The specific joke here refers to the column Eric wrote back in August. It was a really interesting read, but at the same time it sort of took me by surprise. Continue reading

PC Weenies Celebrates Seven Years, Call for Guest Art

This month the funny single panel comic PC Weenies is celebrating 7 years of publishing to the web. Krishna Sadasivam writes and draws the comic that targets the tech sector and all us cubicle dwellers that live within. Manga Bickering

The debate rages on. Today’s comic features a conversation we’ve had several times on the podcast, but it was high time to lay it right out on the table here in the comic. You may be asking yourself, “Self, why are Daku and Zampzon hunting out in the marshlands?” Well, I wrote the dialog as you see it in the comic and if I just followed that it would be pretty boring just having the talking heads like usual.
