All Your Movie-based Strips are Belong to Boxcar
After going around the board a few times as the little Scottie dog, Boxcar Comics seems to have a bit of a monopoly on their hands. With a little reshuffling and recruiting, Boxcar in now home to three of the biggest movie comics on the Web.
Multiplex, by Gordon McAlpin, has joined up? with Theater Hopper and the rest of the Boxcar collective, bringing the number of total strips to 15. This is especially good for me because they all line up in 3 rows of 5 silence my need to rearrange them when they had 2 rows of 5 and one of 4. Continue reading

Interest Piquers #2 ~OR~ Using Big Words
No news in the queue, a fairly quiet week in the world of webcomics, so it must be time for another installment of Interest Piquers! I have no idea if you read the strips I do or even care what I have to say about what went down in my weekly world of webcomics, but hopefully this time around I can elicit at least one reaction, good or bad, from you guys. This week on the docket, we have Red Dahlia, Crimson Dark, Penny Arcade, Ctrl-Alt-Delete, and PvP. Yeah, the last three are staples to most of your pull-lists, but let’s see if we can’t put a different spin on them. Ready?

While strolling along the banks of scenic Internet, USA, I ran into Chris Yates, a crazy inventor from Planet Earth. We dined on bits and bytes since we hadn’t the money for anything larger and he regaled me with bardic sagas, eddas, and put me to sleep talking about eco-friendly sculptors and navigating highways by mile markers instead of location signs… and then I asked him a bunch of questions and no one cussed and when we were all finished he read me a postcard from his Uncle Travelling Matt.

Running a Tight Ship
Here is the first strip from PookeyG. It looks like the theme of the mask was just too hard to pass up. By the way I have given the guys no direction other then it needs to be about the site or webcomic commentary so you will be just as surprised and delighted as Ia m when it gets posted.

I’m Not Dead, Yes You Are!
You’ve heard about it on the podcasts and now here’s the official contest. We are officially starting the Death to Zampzon contest. Some of you who’s memory is better then mine might remember eons ago we announced Zampzon was leaving our merry band of pirate-ninjas and started a rumor of a contest where you would draw a strip detailing the demise of the mighty. The rumors are now confirmed so those entries that have already been sent to us are still valid for the contest.
I’m Just Drinking: Phil’s Birthday Bar-stocking drive for Podcasting!
Hey, it’s Phil. I don’t get piad to do this, but I do get to totally plug the hell out of my stuff. So here we are. There was a podcast put up today, so there’ll be a new ConnectiCon post tommorow.
We at I’m Just Drinking have been at this for a little bit now, this wiki nonsense. One month to be exact. It’s been going great, got a lot of active people and a lot of recipes brought in. Many of which rock especially hard. But something’s felt missing around here. Something fun and interesting to keep everyone coming back. Then it hit me:
Podcast.
