As stated previously the winner of the Web Comics Scavenger Hunt we held throughout August has been declared. Andrea was our winner with over 300 links to Pirate related comics. It’s time for our second installment of the Scavenger Hunt. The quick low down, for those new to the “The Monthly Web Comics Scavenger Hunt“, is it is help promote webcomics by compiling a list of comics around narrow topics such as pirates as oppose to ‘humor’. The Web Comic Scavenger Hunt for the month of August is now complete and we have a winner. Congratulations to Andrea of Icarus Falls who sent in a list of pirate related comics with 326 links! This post is a reminder that the Web Comic Scavenger Hunt for the month of August is coming to a close soon. With August half over I thought it was a good time to remind everyone about our ongoing contest, the Web Comics Scavenger Hunt. We’re asking people to gather a list of links to comics about Pirates (no more than 5 comics from any one site) and send them into us. The deadline is midnight of the last day of August. We got a complaint about how there wasn’t a contest entry posted with this week’s show announcement and before anyone jumps to the wrong conclusion let me explain. We have a winner! As announced on show 15 of the Digital Strips Podcast the big winner of our ‘We Love Web Comics Contest’ has been announced. The winner is Crash, the artist behind the web comic Cheshire Grin. Crash was selected during a random drawing of all the entries we received which we did live on show 15. The winning entry is posted on the front page of our site and will remain there throughout all the posts of everyone else’s entry. That should take about a month.
Crash will be receiving a big pile of printed web comic books worth over $120.00. You can see all the books being given away on our contest page. Congratulations go to Crash and make sure you all stop by Cheshire Grin to see the web comic this entry comes from.
