We’ve just posted our 100th podcast and we’re quickly coming up on our 2 year anneversary. I believe we all know what that means. The third annual We Love Web Comics contest is upon us and it’s time to figure out what the prize is going to be.
This year the way it works is I’m throwing in $200 of the site’s money as a base. Here’s where you come in. Anything that get’s sent to me between now and the beginning of the contest gets thrown into the pot. Anything in the pot will be photoed and posted with contest in addition to every single item being listed and linked to on the site.
The contest finally came to an end and it appears no one actually believed he left. There are a few of you though that sent in your entries and all of them were great. Fortunately for me though there can be only one winner or I’d be out a lot more money. Before I go on all I have to say is thank goodness the winner stopped drawing me naked. They may what was holding him back from this masterpiece. So who is the winner? It would be this entry: Continue reading
We’re half way into our salute to Zampzon and I’m looking to get more entries then all previous contests combined. So how did Zampzon leave us? Just what is his problem? So far we’ve gotten some great entries and here’s one to tickle your fancy.
You’ve heard about it on the podcasts and now here’s the official contest. We are officially starting the Death to Zampzon contest. Some of you who’s memory is better then mine might remember eons ago we announced Zampzon was leaving our merry band of pirate-ninjas and started a rumor of a contest where you would draw a strip detailing the demise of the mighty. The rumors are now confirmed so those entries that have already been sent to us are still valid for the contest.
When we said we were going to announce the winner of the contest over the weekend I couldn’t help but laugh maniacally that it was April 1st. Just how bad of a comic could we make and say was the winner? Then the whole work thing got in the way and here we are. We had a plethora of entries with a particular contestant submitting 13 different ones.
Who then are the winners? The first prize goes to the entry picked by Zampzon, Phil Kahn, 7, Mr. Hian, and myself as our favorite. There were several really good strips ranging Continue reading
We’re getting down to the line and there’s been a flurry of entries today. So here’s the last reminder. Tonight at midnight is the dead line for all entries into the contest. You’re probably asking is that EST or PST? Well we’re a bunch of nice guys so we’ll make that PST. That means every entry must make it to our inbox by 8am GMT.
Now get busy with those last finishing touches and email us your entry!
To remind you that there is a funtastic contest going on and to inspire you to new heights of comedy and, perhaps more importantly, participation, I have created a comic which I cannot enter. Please participate in this contest and please, please don’t use Comic Sans.
Here’s my contribution.

Weekly reminder of our HUGE contest. The annual Digital Strips ‘We Love Webcomics’ contest is running strong but we’re predicting at least twice the participation this year. Don’t forget this year’s prizes can be won in two ways. The first prize will go to our favorite comic and Nominations will be based on art and writing, but most importantly creativity. The second prize is in memory of last year’s contest and is a random drawing from all the entries. EVERYONE has an equal chance to win!
That’s right, it’s time once again for the most popular contest in the webcomics community. The annual Digital Strips ‘We Love Webcomics’ contest has returned and we didn’t just double the prizes this time. Through purchase and donations we have amassed an even bigger webcomic booty, so much so that now there are going to be 2! prizes. Here’s the details:
