I’ve been working hard to get the site all finished and looking spiffy. Apart from some minor code tweaks here and there I just completed our links section. A popular request we’ve gotten for the site was an online list of all the web comics we’ve talked about on the show since we started it in one easy to find place. That is up there now, all the comics we’ve ever discussed in depth can be found there and will be updated as we do new shows. Well you asked for it and here it is. In our past couple of Wednesday IRC chats (irc.cad-net.org 6667 #digitalstrips) some of our listeners have given us the brilliant idea of running a IRC chat at the same time as an interview so they can ask questions while the interview is going on. This does not mean the interview will be live or that you will hear us ask the questions but feel free to line up the questions for us to ask.

Our next interview will be with the talented Kristofer Straub (Checkerboard Nightmare and Starshift Crisis) and David Willis (Shortpacked! and Its Walky!) where we will of course find out what these artists think of the world of web comics and especially the introduction of Blank Label Comics. What does this web comic group mean for you and what are it’s plan for the future? So come one (we know we have at least one listener) or come all and ask your questions on Thursday June 2nd at 9pm EST in our IRC channel at CAD-Net.

Ok folks, here we go. I think I have most of the files we’ll need set up for our move to our new domain. Over the next few days the site may be a mess here and there while I try to get it all sorted out, so please bare with is. From here on out you can find our site here:

There may be a few growing pains for the first few days, but being able to expand into our own site and domain will be worth it. Here we go …

This is where everyone gets to send me flaming emails. Due to my real life the May 2nd podcast is going to be delayed until tomorrow night instead of tomorrow morning. It seems we have some fans over on Cadnet and they have very graciously created a room for us and Digital Strips fans to come together and discuss what we do and web comics on general. This is a very cool thing. Watch this site and listen to our show for future announcements about events that we will hold in the IRC room. Maybe we can schedule a weekly time to be there to talk about our most recent show. Daku and myself will be popping in and out throughout the week I’m sure.

You may or may not have noticed that I haven’t posted a whole lot to the blog this week. The reason for that can be summed up in two words, Jade Empire. I have been totally sucked up into this game and when the decision comes down to posting about web comics or playing more Jade the choice invariably comes down to which activity involves swinging fists of fury. Hopefully I will have it beat soon and I’ll be able to return to my normal life. Love the game, highly recommend it.

Ok, I’ve moved my comic over to it’s own page. Digital Strips needs to stay focused on the task at hand, reporting on web comic news and the weekly audio show. You can check out my own comic, The Last Drop, at it’s new home and I will keep it going three times a week. I may also add some sketchbook dumps on Fridays too, who knows.

And thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement. I really appreciate that.
