[Post] You’ll Have That Has Decided To Keep That

I got this disturbing bit of news from Mr. Wes Molebash. Apparently after being in webcomics all this time the drama inherent in the system has been repressing him, but no more. You should enjoy this little press release:

If any of you guys follow webcomics and webcomic-related news, you’ll notice that there’s a lot of drama in webcomics. There’s name-calling, whining, complaining, and playa-hating. It’s like high school, really. But I’ve noticed that a lot of the webcomics that are involved in a lot of drama are actually some of the more popular strips on the internet. So, I’ve decided to start a little drama of my own in hopes of getting a little more publicity. Here goes:

[Comic] New DS Comics, Daku’s Secret

Ok, I’m getting back into doing some more Digital Strips comics. I have an idea for a new story arc and this will be the lead in for it. I had taken some time away from doing the comics while I tried to put together an animated/video/podcast thing, but that has turned out to be far more time consuming and a much bigger pain in the butt than I had anticipated. I think I’ll stick with comics, it’s much more of a solo kind of affair.

[Post] Why some strips about strange things don’t suck

Sorry to disappear on everyone for a week. My Spring broke and you know how that is.

In my opinion, one to the biggest drawing aspects to web comics is the niche factor. It doesn’t matter what you’re into, it seems like there’s a web comic about it somewhere.

There are, of course, the standard niches that have been done time and time again, but keep offering quality material of video and computer games, Dungeons and Dragons, movies and entertainment and politics.

[News] Eyeskream Adds Three More Flavors

Our friends over at Eyeskream have finally decided on a cap on just how many members are allowed. I personally think it should have been 31 but trademarks aside the magic number is going to be 25. That left just three spots after taking into account their contest but wouldn’t you know their anouncement of a membership limit coincides with reaching that limit as well. Eyeskream has recently accepted 3 new members in their ranks:

    – Lee Swain of Flat Life
    – Jeff Mumm of Obscured by Species
    – Adam Marien of The Mulberry Gallows Project

So go take a look at the newbies and don’t forget to jump in on the contest.

[news]Nevermind the Bollocks, Here’s the Webnewsery!

OMFG! There is a clickwheel discussion supervening this very moment at the Apple repository in Londinium. Will Simons will be there; he is a crazy inventor.

Also in the Kingdom of Unity, is, uh… This Thing. I have been assured that “it should be a really good day for all involved.”

Dylan Meconis has launched a prequel to Bite Me. My sources tell me that it details the history of a Jewish werewolf of Germanic heritage. I forget what it is called; having paid attention to Dylan’s artistic evolution, I can safely advise that you pay attention to this strangety.

Also, I hear tell there is also some news for your eyeballs. And more for your earballs.

    [News] Bifscratch?

We just got the heads up on a new musing from Bif and Frank over at Bifsniff Cartoons. They’re looking for guest artists to participate in a kind of guest strip bonanza where the guest artist reinterprets a Bifsniff Cartoon from the first year. There are restrictions of course. You’ll have to consider scalability and file-size so that they can be scaled down to fit into their blog feed, but everything else is pretty open. If this sounds interesting give the guys a shout and flood them with questions.
