That was one HELL of a show! Hell in a Cell is over and we have at least one match of the year candidate out of the entire card. Once the guys stop gushing about the tag match and pondering the future for Owens and Zayn, it’s time to talk Raw and the impact the reunited Shield is already having. TLC is gearing up to be a good show, but who will use the T, who will ask for the L, and who can’t wait to see the C? Also, Jason was right about two of his predictions and he makes sure everyone knows it.
Raw didn’t have much this week, but if you can’t get behind a slow build to a Shield reunion, there’s nothing you’ll like on the WWE main roster this week. Meanwhile, Hell in a Cell is tomorrow we don’t really care because: one or both of the Hype Bros might turn, Roode’s entrance will outdo Ziggler’s, Orton will have an Orton-ass match, The Usos and New Day will steal the show, Shane/KO will end badly, and we hope the U.S. and WWE Championships swap places. Finally, should we care about what’s going on with Bray? History should steer you on this one. Enjoy the Cell and hope for no Hell!
It seems like it’s been forever, but it’s time for another WWE PPV Special Live Event! No Mercy is upon us, and there’s loads to talk about, including exploring the Suplex City in our hearts, Shane McMahon’s punchable face, Vinny Mac’s need to bleed, RACISM, the continual mishandling of Shinsuke Nakamura, The Miz back doing what he’s best at, Neville and Strowman’s superiority, and a good Roman Reigns promo. Tune in Sunday and see how many things we were wrong about!
Jason enjoyed Hell in a Cell a fair bit more than Steve, but both men agreed that the show was better than they expected. Highlights: TJ Perkins tried to Cesaro himself, all three Cell matches brought something good to the table, coordinating, competing outfits, Roman Reigns’ unnecessary accessories, and streaks are dumb and ruin everything. The guys also talk briefly about the Owen Hart/British Bulldog match they watched and Steve finds out that Jason has never seen an Owen Hart match before. A news lightning round wraps things up!
Woof. Talk about a terrible go home episode of RAW to take us to Hell in a Cell. Steve and Jason take turns hating on all things Monday Night, including Lesnar’s bizarre non-promo, repetition, and MAKING HERSTORY. Also, both guys agree that Smackdown is the better show now. Join us all for this weird, WTF-ish build-up to tomorrow’s event!
