RAW turned 25, but we really don’t feel any different. Enzo Amore is no more-ay and 205 Live will get its first GM next week. And Vince reminded us he’s still far out of touch with an announcement about the XFL. It’s been a crazy week, and that’s even mentioning: Stone Cold still delighting, lots of smiling and waving at RAW 25, what worked and what didn’t at that show, screwy alignments in the SDL title picture still have us confused, the first-ever pin from a Blue Thunder Bomb (congrats, Sami!), the Mixed Match Challenge is still a delight, we were reintroduced to TM 61, plus our hopes and dreams (and fears) for TakeOver and the Rumble. Whew! With all that going on, we had to double the length! Hope you enjoy the wrastlin this weekend!
Sure, we’re all thrilled AJ won the title, but how long will he hold it? Also, did WWE, in fact, hinder the Jinder? Also, Total Divas participation seems to be the best path to job security in WWE right now, we worry that Sami and KO might not do anything at Survivor Series, Raw proves just how dumb they (or at least Angle) are/is, Steve still isn’t sold on the New Day/Shield match for SS, intergender matches remain a kitschy novelty in WWE, and Lucha Underground will open the temple for yet another season.
With illness and absences abounding, TLC screamed out of the gates and never held back. Styles/Balor tore it up, Asuka debuted, Mickie/Alexa put on an amazing show, and the TLC match itself was one for the record books. Looking towards the future, Survivor Series is coming and the build to that has Jason FUMING. But, Paul Heyman agrees that Jinder isn’t worthy of taking on Lesnar, so we’re all good.
A fearful illness has gripped the locker room and thrown the TLC card into chaos! Will Angle wrestle? Will Styles and Balor put on an instant classic? And how about all those cruiserweight and women’s matches, eh? All that, plus SmackDown Live is still good thanks to Owens and Zayn, not to mention Rusev, Pulp Fashion, and THE BLUDGEON BROTHERS.
The Fastlane to the on-ramp to Wrestlemania has come and gone, and both Steve and Jason feel less than whelmed. Will the cruiserweights continue their momentum from their tremendous showing? Can Bayley up her game heading into Wrestlemania? Wouldn’t it be better for EVERYONE to have a spear, since it’s such a devastating move? Why does Bill Goldberg sweat so much doing so little? The answers to these questions, plus: No one will be cheering Roman at Mania, the refs need to learn how to drive a forklift, and Emma debuts soon!
It’s mid-December, just a few days from Christmas, so it must be time to recap a WWE PPV! TLC is in the books, and the guys want to talk about the delusions of James Ellsworth, the effectiveness of any random kendo stick, AJ Styles’ butt hole, and how much Mandarin Steve knows. Ok, only one of them want to talk about that.
Before we can snuggle up and stay warm and cozy for the holidays, it’s time to get the first of two WWE PPVs out of the way. TLC is tomorrow and we’ve got the card plus our predictions, hopes, and dreams to go over. Will The Undertaker make an appearance? Will we see a giant pile of steel chairs? Will AJ Styles Clash someone through something?
