We’ve Got Comics from Sea to Shining Sea

I’ve recently entered the real world. The world where people have careers, offices and even their own staplers. It’s a beautiful thing. However, as I sit a my desk and try and figure out what it is I’m supposed to be doing, I get a lot of great ideas for comics. Ideas that, knowing me, will never see the light of day.

So while I may not be drawing as many comics as I would like, I have been able to listen to a few more Web comics podcasts, which is nice. A relatively new show (three episodes to date) that I’ve really enjoyed and would like to share with everyone is Comics Coast to Coast.

Comics Coast to Coast is cool new panel show where three Web cartoonists – Brain Dunaway, Justin Tompson and Tom Racine – just sit down and talk comics. They talk about why they love doing what they do, who they love to read and state of comics in general. Its got a lot of energy that can only come when you get a bunch of people who really love what they’re talking about.

So far they’ve also been joined by two guests, Scott Johnson of the Web comic Extralife and Stephen Pastis of Pearls Before Swine. These shows are half interview – half panel discussions and a lot fun.

So if your ears have room for multiple Web comics podcasts, go check out Comics Coast to Coast. If not, just keep listening to us. We love and would be really sad if you left us.

In other news, Nate Peikos of Atland will be writing for Dark Horses Hellboy Animated. That’s not shabby at all, so mad props to him.
