Alert and perceptive viewers of the TV show ‘How I Met Your Mother’ (CBS Mondays, 8:30 p.m., EST) may have noticed Alyson Hannigan with her copy of ‘Pure Ducky Goodness’ in this week’s episode. That book is the collection of Sheldon comic strips from one of my favorite creators, Dave Kellett. Dave is also a member of Blank Label Comics, the popular online webcomc creator group simply bursting with talent. You can see some screenshots from the TV show featuring the comic book here. This is some excellent exposure for webcomics in general (and of course, Sheldon especially). While webcomics have been discussed on TV before, most notably on the specialty cable channels Tech TV and G4 (now the same channel) this is the first I’ve heard of webcomics appearing on a major television network.
