Readers of the popular webcomic Scott Kurtz’s PVP can find a pretty interesting treat in today’s strip. After a recent request to his readers, Scott received a new 3D logo for his site. The initial logo was a three dimensional computer generated model, but soon after Scott made use of that image another reader, Joseph Kovell, took the concept in a different direction and sent him a logo that was 3D in the old blue and red paper glasses sense. Along with the logo image, the enterprising reader included a 3D version of today’s PVP comic. Admittedly, you do need a pair of 3D glasses to get the full effect, but it is very cool nonetheless.
This may not be the first time this has been attempted in webcomics, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. If anyone has links to other 3D webcomics out there please post them in the comments to this post. I’d love to check them out.
I wouldn’t want to take credit for something I didn’t do. While I did make the 3-D verion of the PvP strip, I was not the creator of the 3-D logo. I just took the idea and ran with it.
Now I’m looking for an excuse just to make another one. How about a 3-D Digital Strips update?
You know, I think it’d be pretty cool to get (on a seperate page) the PVP logo and strip 3D all the time. It’d certainly make me wish I had a pair of glasses.
Give Kurtz a few days and he’ll be whoring out PVP 3d specs in his store.

You can get free glasses here.
Which one should I get Red/Blue or Red/Cyan?
Red cyan. It is what the logo and comic are made in.
